This  exercise  for  the  footwork  starts  with  a  long  service  from 'Amicus 3000  Plus'.  After  a backspin  ball 
onto  the  middle  of  the  table  a  fast  topspin  of  the  ball  machine  onto  the  forehand  and  one  onto  the 
backhand of the  player follow.  These balls are  played back with  a topspin.  This  exercise is  played at a 
time  interval  of  40 seconds,  the  service  being  played  only  once.  After  a  pause  of  20 seconds,  the 
exercise starts again with a single service.

For  the  short/short  situation,  a  ball  placed  by  'Amicus  3000  Plus'  onto  the  wide  forehand  of  the  player 
results.  This  should  as  far  as  possible  be  played  with  a  down-the-line  forehand  topspin.  The  next  two 
balls  of  the  TT ball  machine  are  simulated  blocks  onto  the  variable  backhand topspin  of  the  player.  By 
means of a diagonal, hard 'counter topspin' the player should end the rally.
