Winter cover The winter covers (Fig. 63) protect the cooling unit against cold air. Place
winter covers in front of both ventilation grills when the external temperature
falls below +10 °C (both for gas and electrical operation).
In the case of smaller appliances (capacity of less than 130 l) in gas operation,
only use the
lower winter cover.
In the case of very low temperatures (-5 °C to -30 °C), use the insulated
winter cover. Use the insulated winter cover only instead of the lower refriger-
ator ventilation grill.
If the temperature raises again, remove winter covers.
Mounting:
„
Open both locks (Fig. 63) (groove in horizontal position).

Put winter cover in front of the ventilation grill.
„
Lock the locks with a small coin (groove in vertical position).
Removing:
„
Open both locks (Fig. 63) (groove in horizontal position).
„
Remove winter cover from ventilation grill.
9.5.2 Operation (Dometic RMS with battery ignition)
Operating modes The refrigerator has 3 operating modes:

Gas operation
z
230 V AC
z
12 V DC
The operating mode is set with the operating controls on the refrigerator panel.
Gas operation
Z
Remove the winter covers when the temperatures rise above +10 °C. Oth-
erwise the refrigerator could be damaged.
Z
Remove the insulated winter cover when the temperatures rise above -
5 °C. Otherwise the refrigerator could be damaged.
Z
The winter cover may remain mounted during the journey.
Z
Select only one energy source.

Never let gas escape unburned due to danger of explosion.
Z
If LPG is used, the gas burner must be cleaned more frequently.
