RS-485 (A / B )

The camera can be adjusted by a serial communication (RS-485), according to the Pelco D
protocol. The camera OSD is activated using the SET-PRESET 95 command. This
command is also used as a confirmation (ENTER) (not applicable for G-sensor OSD and
light OSD):
In the camera OSD, the communication parameters have to be set correctly to the connected
device, e.g. a keyboard (also see chapter “Communication”).
UTP A / UTP B
: (only for VTC-8122WDHU):
Besides a BNC video output, this camera has a UTP output (twisted pair). An active twisted
pair transmitter is built-in into the camera.
GND
(only for VTC-8122WDHU):
Ground connection for camera, connected with metal housing.

5. Camera adjustment via OSD menu
The camera should be adjusted at the installation site according to the environmental
conditions, e.g. light conditions, to achieve the best possible image quality.
Camera adjustments are done via an OSD menu. On the camera there is a mini-joystick (for
position of the mini-joystick please see chapters “Camera overview”). Press onto the joystick
and a menu pops up in the video picture. You can now move the joystick left/right/up/down in
order to get to the desired menu item. For confirming your choice, press onto the joystick
