Removing of HDD

CAUTION:

Before operating the procedures written in this chapter, except when hot-swapping, be

sure to turn off the system and then disconnect the power plug.

CAUTION:

If you attempt to replace a faulty disk using inappropriate procedure or depending on

the type of disk failure, data on the disk may be corrupted. Before starting disk

replacement work, back up the data.

Replacing a hard disk without failure will corrupt data on it. Do not remove any hard

disk other than the faulty.

Do not give vibration or impact to the system equipment in operation when adding or

replacing an optional built-in component. Otherwise, failure may occur in the HDD.

1. Pull forward the HDD carrier lever while pushing the hook.
