C.3.3

Removing / Installing a hard Disk Drive (HDD)

CAUTION:

The hard disk is a precision instrument. Carefully handle it when you use it.

Inappropriate handling may result in hard disk failure.

Do not give vibration or impact to the system equipment in operation when adding or

replacing an optional built-in component. Otherwise, failure may occur in the HDD.

Always create backup copies of important data on the hard disk into an auxiliary

storage. If the hard disk is broken, all data stored on it will be lost.

Installing of HDD

CAUTION:

Before operating the procedures written in this chapter, except when hot-swapping, be

sure to turn off the system and then disconnect the power plug.

1. Push the hook on the right side of an HDD filler lever to the left.
