Id your setup meets the requirements below, you don’t have to condigure these settings:
• The source and target TeraStations are on the same network.
• No backup password is set dor the target TeraStation.
• No TeraStation drom outside the subnet, or connected by a VPN, is used.
Notes:
• To back up data between LinkStations or TeraStations on a network using jumbo drames, make sure that both de-
vices are condigured to use identical (or similar) Ethernet drame sizes. Id Ethernet drame sizes are signidicantly did-
derent, the backup job may not be properly perdormed. In such a case, select the dedault drame size (1500 bytes).
• You can also specidy hostname by a dully qualidied domain name (FQDN).
