TURN SIGNALS 7.3
REMOVAL
NOTE
Remove screw on turn signal lens to install new turn signal
bulbs.
Front
1. See Figure 7-42. Disconnect bullet connectors on turn
signal wires.
2. See Figure 7-43. Remove screws (1) and nuts (5).
3. Remove turn signals (3).
Rear
1. Detach saddlebags from brackets. See 2.37 SADDLE-
BAGS .
2. Cut cable straps from turn signal wires under tail section.
3. See Figure 7-44. Disconnect bullet connectors on turn
signal wires.
4. See Figure 7-45. Remove screws (1) and nuts (4).
5. Remove turn signals (2) from tail section.
INSTALLATION
Front
1. See Figure 7-43. Insert bullet connectors (4) through for-
ward hole in front fairing. Attach turn signals (3) using
screws (1) through rear hole and nuts (5).
NOTE
Install turn signal with lens drain hole facing downward.
2. Attach bullet connectors on turn signal wires as shown in
Figure 7-42.

Check for proper turn signal operation before riding
motorcycle. Failure to have proper turn signal operation
could result in death or serious injury.
3. Check turn signals for proper operation. If operation fails,
reread procedure and verify that all steps were per-
formed.
a. Turn ignition key switch to IGN.
b. Activate left turn signals using switch on left handle-
bar. Front and rear left turn signals must flash.
c. Activate right turn signals using switch on left han-
dlebar. Front and rear right turn signals must flash.
d. Turn ignition key switch to OFF.
