2.3.4.2 Acoustic Alarm.
An acoustic alarm with a characteristic sound can
be assigned to a message.
In operation, the acoustic alarm will start sound-
ing: BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-...... when the message
is selected and will continue to sound until the
operator has acknowledged the alarm by press-
ing any of the keys at the keypad.
This quiets the alarm and as the keypad informa-
tion is transmitted to the PLC, the acknowledge-
ment may be used by the PLC to control alarm
queues or to other purposes.
Use the keys:
<TAB> or <
→ → → → →
> to move the cursor forwards.
<BACKSPACE> or <
← ← ← ← ←
> to move the cursor back,
at display showing:
TEXT 078 PRN=0 ALR=0
CR=SAVE ESC=CANCEL
Assign the acoustic alarm by typing 1, or disable
by typing 0, at the acoustic alarm selector (ALR)
and press <CR>/<ENTER> to save setting and
exit the menu.
2.3.5 Cancel Edition of a Message.
To cancel edition of a message, press <ESC>
when the display shows:
TEXT 078 PRN=0 ALR=0
CR=SAVE ESC=CANCEL
The display will show:
TEXT NO.? 079
ENTER NO. PRESS CR
And the message will remain unchanged.
