Pedals, brackets and cranks
We recommend that you check whether
the pedals and the cranks are properly and
securely fastened to the bottom bracket. The
bottom bracket and pedals don’t need to be
lubricated.
Tires
It’s important that your tires have the right
air pressure. On the bike you can find what
pressure is right for your tire. Also check the
valve regularly, so that you’ll find out when
to replace your tires. Tires that haven’t been
replaced for a long time are probably dama-
ged or dehydrated. Because of this you are
more likely to get a flat tire. Of course a tire is a
product which wears out by use: this is normal.
When you check the tires regularly, you’ll know
when it's time to replace them.
Wheels
We recommend that, every month, you check
the if quick release levers of the dropout
hubs, and the nuts of the wheels are fastened
properly.
Saddle
You can determine the height of the saddle
yourself. The height of your hip is the correct
height for your saddle. Some Brinckers models
use a clamp which can be loosend or tigh-
tend with an Allen key. Never use excessive
force, this can damage the clamp.
Other Brinckers models use a clamp in com-
bination with a quick release lever. Push the
quick release lever (the grey or black lever)
under the saddle of the frame. The saddle is
now not secured and thus, loose in the frame:

the saddle again
After adjusting your saddle, check whether
all screws and bolts are attached properly
again. If they’re not, you risk movement in the
saddle while cycling, which can cause unsafe
situations.

than the safety indication on the seatpost.
