Frame
Always treat your bike with great care, this
way you’ll avoid damaging the lacquer and
the frame. You can easily clean a filthy bike
yourself: this will not only make your bike
look new, but also ensures the bike to work
optimally.
Below you will find some tips to consider when
cleaning:
■
Spray the bike with a garden hose and dry
it with a piece of dry cloth.
■
Use liquid soap in lukewarm or warm water.
■
Avoid using a high-pressure washer, the
water spray is too powerful and can remo-
ve essential oils!
■
After cleaning, treat the lacquer with liquid
wax.
■
Lubricate the chrome lightly with polishing
oil.
Handlebar
Of course you want to be comfortable on
your bike, that’s why it is important that the
handlebar is adjusted to the correct height.
The Brinckers bicycles are equipped with
various handlebars, however, all of them can
be adjusted to the desired height.
■
NOTE: when adjusting the handlebars in
height, please note that the indication MAX
should not visible on the stem. This is for
your own safety! If you see this indication,
the stem is set too high.
The Brinckers bicycles can be
supplied with the following
steering pins:
Adjustable steering pin without tools:
You can adjust the position of the handlebar,
without using tools. Both the steering pin angle
and the steering angle can be adjusted by
pulling the lever on top of the stem. When the
lever is up, the steering angle can be adjusted.
By pulling the lever down, the handlebar will
be secure again.

When using your bike regularly for a longer
period of time, the handlebar may become
looser than normal. If this happens, make an
appointment with a service partner to solve
it: he has all the right tool to fix this. In the
unfortunate event that you have fallen off your
bike and the handlebar is bent or damaged,
please contact a service point. The handlebar
will have to be replaced. Do not continue
cycling with a damaged handlebar!
