Usage And
Maintenance
To achieve the best performace, it is recom-
mended to get your bike checked by your
Brinckers dealer regularly (at least once a
year). Inbetween the yearly checkups, it is
recommended to perform small checkups
yourself. Below you will find advice given to
keep your bike in good shape:
Monthly
■
Check the fork headset (below the handle-
bar), make sure it's tightened.
■
Tires: is the reflective strip on the tires still
clean and clearly visible?
■
Tires: are the tires in good condition and on
the recommended pressure?
■
Pedals & cranks: Are the pedals and cranks
securely fastened to the bottom bracket?
■
Brakes: are the brakes fully working? Are
the cables undamaged and still attached
properly?
■
Spokes: are they still fastened properly?
And are the wheels still steady and not
swinging?
■
Lighting: is it still working accordingly?
■
Wheels: is the lever of the quick release hub
and shaft nuts of the wheels still properly
attached?
■
Saddle and stem: are they still properly
attachted in the frame? The safety marking
should not be visible.
Yearly
■
Take your bike to a service partner for an
extensive check every year. Look at www.
