Fuel Pump/Hoses (If Equipped)

1. Squeeze tangs to move each hose clamp away from

fitting, and then proceed as follows:

NOTE:

For best results, use Fuel Hose Remover

(Part No. 19620).

A. See Figure 30. If necessary, remove hose (

)

from fuel pump fuel inlet fitting.

B. Remove hose from carburetor fuel inlet fitting (

If necessary, remove other end from fuel pump

fuel outlet fitting (

C. Remove hose from crankcase cover fitting (

). If

necessary, remove other end from pulse pump

fitting (

D. Remove two hex flange screws (

) to release fuel

pump (

) from bracket (

Engine Cover

NOTE:

Remove engine cover if equipped with remote fuel

tank.
1. See Figure 31. Remove two screws (

) with hex

nuts (

) to release engine cover (

) from crankcase

flanges (dipstick side).

2. Remove screw (

) to release engine cover from

crankcase flange (spark plug side).

3. Squeeze tangs and move hose clamp (

) away from

carburetor fuel inlet fitting. Remove hose (

) from

fitting. For best results, use Fuel Hose Remover (Part

No. 19620).

4. Remove engine cover. Remove hose from engine

cover.
