Belt Alignment (Folding Conveyors)
The conveyor belt will run straight when all of the
rollers are straight.
If your belt is tracking to one side, use the
instructions below to center it.
Adjustment order matters; adjustments that are
made will directly affect the rollers downstream,
they will have little to no effect on rollers that
come before the one being adjusted.
Follow the steps as they are shown.
1. Return guide blocks:
a. Make sure all of the guide blocks (
Figure
10.39
) are moved out against the return
shrouds.
b.
Rotate any significantly worn blocks 90° to
a new edge.
c. Replace any guide blocks with all 4 edges
worn out.
Important
Check that the belt tension is set correctly before
making any roller adjustments.
Important
Some belts may have uneven edges, causing
them to appear misaligned. Wait for the belt to
make at least one complete revolution before
adjusting rollers.
Important
Ensure that conveyor is empty of all product
before adjusting belt alignment.
