the correct ones.

2. The headlight adapters are not

installed correctly.

2. Correctly install the headlight adapters.

The turn signals flash at a rapid rate.

3. The wrong flasher is being used.

3. Replace the vehicle flasher with a

heavy-duty 6 A flasher.

1. The wrong headlight adapters are

being used.

1. Replace the headlight adapters with

the correct ones.

does not function properly.

2. The headlight adapters are not

installed correctly.

2. Correctly install the headlight adapters.

1. The trip springs are loose or damaged.

1. Tighten the springs or replace them if

they are damaged.

The blade trips too easily.

2. The pushbeam is not at the correct

height.

2. Adjust the push beam to the proper

height.

The plow does not clean up snow from
low areas.

1. The controller is not in the F

LOAT

position.

1. Activate the F

LOAT

feature on the

controller.

1. The terrain is too steep.

1. Avoid steeply sloped areas.

2. The pump reservoir is overfilled.

2. The hydraulic fluid level should be

within 2 cm (3/4 inch) of the top of the
reservoir.

Fluid is running out of the fill cap of the
hydraulic pump.

3. The plow is hitting snowbanks too

hard.

3. Do not plow recklessly.

1. Make sure that the vehicle is on and

the controller is in the F

LOAT

position.

1. Turn the vehicle on and put the

controller in the F

LOAT

position.

2. Make sure that the controller is in the

F

LOAT

position.

2. If the controller comes out of the F

LOAT

position when using the SmartHitch2
controller, replace the controller.

The pump chatters when raising the plow
or extending the wing(s).

3. Check valve block and the SmartHitch2

switch for proper connections.

3. Refer to the manifold wiring diagram

included with your

Owner’s Manual

.

1. The controller is not in the F

LOAT

position.

1. Turn the vehicle on and put the

controller in the F

LOAT

position.

2. The controller is malfunctioning.

2. Replace the controller.

The SmartHitch2 does not attach to the
plow.

3. The valve block and SmartHitch2

switch are not properly connected.

3. Check valve block and the SmartHitch2

switch for proper connections; refer to
the manifold wiring diagram included
with your

Owner’s Manual

.

The plow lights and truck lights are on at
the same time.

1. The vehicle wire harness is plugged

into the vehicle headlight.

1. Check the wiring connections; refer to

the wiring diagram included with your

Owner’s Manual

.

All of the plow and vehicle lights are on at
the same time.

1. The headlight adapters are not

installed correctly.

1. Correctly install the headlight adapters.

While trying to raise the plow, the wing(s)
extend prior to raising the plow and do(es)
not retract.

1. The pressure or return lines are

incorrectly routed.

1. Ensure that the pressure line is

connected from the “P” on the pump
to the “P” on the valve manifold, and
the return line is connected from the
“T” on the pump to the “T” on the valve
manifold.

1. The wing-return-solenoid valve on the

manifold is contaminated.
