4.1.4
Checking the slides on the precision measu-
ring bar
1.
Check the slides on the precision measuring bar for
ease of movement.
2.
If necessary, remove slides from the precision
measuring bar, clean and check for wear.
3.
Inspect the laser mount on the slides of the precisi-
on measuring bar for damage such as dents or burrs.
4.
Check the arresting cables.
5.
Check the height of the mounting pins.
!
Height of the mounting pins: 2.5 mm +/- 0.5 mm
Measure in case of damage or wear
¶
Replace the slides on the precision measuring bar.
¶
Replace the arresting cable.
4.2
Testing the laser module P-Assist S5
1 690 381 124 / 1 690 381 174
i
The test of the P-Assist S5 is described with refe-
rence to the SCT 415. The test can be carried out
with all other SCT/CCT/EL products.
Alignment accuracy: 0.15°
1.
Check the sealing paint on the P-Assist S5 for dama-
ge.
2.
Inspect the contact surface of the P-Assist S5 for
damage such as dents or burrs.
!
The contact surface of the P-Assist S5 must not be
damaged.
Measure in case of damage
¶
Replace the P-Assist S5.
4.2.1
Checking the laser beam length
1.
Set the precision measuring bar to a height of
1400 mm.
2.
Fasten the P-Assist S5 to laser mount B on the L-
bracket.
3.
Switch on the P-Assist S5.
The laser beam is projected onto the floor paral-
lel to the SCT 415.
4.
Measure the length of the laser beam projected onto
the floor.
!
Minimum length of the laser beam projected onto
the floor: 2400 mm
In case of impermissible observational error
¶
Replace the P-Assist S5.
4.2.2
Checking the laser beam width
1.
Set the precision measuring bar to a height of 1000 mm.
2.
Fasten the P-Assist S5 to laser mount A on the L-bracket.
3.
Using double-sided adhesive tape, fasten the test
board to the wall at a distance of 3000 mm from the
laser exit point.
4.
Switch on the P-Assist S5.
The laser beam marks the test board.
5.
Using a sliding caliper, measure the laser beam
thickness on the test board.
!
Maximum permissible laser beam thickness:
≤ 1.5 mm
Measure in case of impermissible observational error
¶
Replace the P-Assist S5.
4.2.3
Checking the P-Assist S5 play
1.
Set the precision measuring bar to a height of 1000 mm.
2.
Fasten the P-Assist S5 (Abb. 16, item 1) to laser
mount A on the L-bracket.
3.
Switch on the P-Assist S5.
4.
Align test board (Abb. 16, item 3) at a distance of
3000 mm with the 0-point.
5.
Using double-sided adhesive tape, fasten the test
board (aligned with 0-point) (Abb. 16, item 3) to the
wall at a height of 1000 mm.
6.
Check the P-Assist S5 play.
The laser beam on the test board moves in the x-
direction (Abb. 16, item 4).
