Transport

Transport of the machine to the place of installation

Transport to the place of machine installation is performed by means of

industrial trucks.
Industrial trucks are: fork--lift trucks and low--lift platform trucks.
In the case of fork--lift trucks the load--bearing capacity (permissible load) and

the fork length have to be taken into consideration.
On low--lift platform trucks the load--bearing capacity and the support area of

the machine on the forks (stability) have to be taken into consideration.

Transport by fork--lift truck

When lifting the machine ensure that the center of gravity of the machine

is between the forks of the truck or low--lift platform truck.

The position of the center of gravity must be determined during

unloading and transportation by personnel who have received

safety instruction.

If an unstable position of the machine is noticed during lifting, set down the

machine, re--approach and relift it with the fork--lift truck or low--lift platform

truck.

Carefully lift machine a little by paying attention to the centre of gravity.

Check that the machine is standing safely (danger of tipping) and, if

necessary, attach transport securing devices.

Drive the machine cautiously and slowly to the place of installation.

At the place of installation set the machine down slowly and uniformly onto

its feet. Avoid setting it down with a jerk.

If the place of installation of the machine is in a gap, a recess or a free location

in the assembly line:

Set down the machine.

Run the fork--lift truck or low--lift platform truck under the machine.

Lift up the machine.

Drive it to the envisaged location.

Set down the machine.

Transport by crane

Put the machine on pallets and fasten it with fastening brackets to the

pallet.

Use transport harnesses, taking into consideration the permissible load.

Take into consideration the permissible load of the crane. Otherwise the

directions for transport by fork--lift truck apply.
