7.13 Installing a WLAN
TIP!
The operator must provide adequate and secure
WLAN coverage.
The WLAN hardware and software are installed according to the
respective manufacturers’ instructions.
When configuring the WLAN router, please ensure that AHD-WNL
is assigned a static IP address, as stated in Chapter 7.7.
7.14 Installing AHD-IAMCS
The AHD-IAMCS app is available for iPad
®
, iPhone
®
, and iPod
®
with iOS 5 or later at the Apple App Store as freeware.
You can install AHD-IAMCS the same way as any other app. For
more detailed information, consult the operation manual of your
iPad
®
, iPhone
®
or iPod
®
, and the AHD-IAMCS operating instruc-
tions, available from the manufacturer.
Clients included in the scope of delivery are configured for
AHD-WNL access by the manufacturer.
Users install AHD-IAMCS on all other supported devices them-
selves. For user access with these clients, user names and pass-
words on file in AHD-WNL
’s configuration are required. The opera-
tor is responsible for issuing the user names and passwords to the
users.
7.15 Initial Startup
Startup Requirements
AHD-WNL has been installed properly and is equipped with all
necessary connections.
All external devices connected to AHD-WNL according to tech-
nical specifications or project drawings have also been installed
and are operational.
All required power supplies are available and error-free.
AHD-WNL and all connected external devices are not connect-
ed to the power supply or are switched off-circuit.
Adequate WLAN coverage has been established on board.
To verify that AHD-WNL has been started successfully, you can
use an authorized client with AHD-IAMCS installed or launch
the administration page via LAN (see Chapter 7.10.1).
