For technical modifications, the AHD-WNL
server’s image
on the industrial PC may need to be restored. The proce-
dure is described in Chapter 9.1.
You may need to verify the installed configuration and ad-
just it to the required operating conditions. Log the final
configuration for the project documentation.
Installation
1.
Install AHD-WNL properly in the intended installation location
according to technical specifications or project drawings.
2.
Wire all inputs and outputs of the unit according to the draw-
ing templates.
CAUTION!
Equipment damage from improper cable con-
nections!
Improperly connected cables can lead to system
errors and equipment damage.
Therefore:
– Always test cable and wire designations before
connecting
them. Verify the connection wire’s
solid seating in the terminal.
– To avoid short circuit, verify that all wire strands
are connected in the terminal.
– Do not overtighten the terminal clamps.
– When using pluggable terminal strips, it is im-
portant to ensure a tight fit and installation in
the correct socket.
3.
Test the system for earth/ground fault.
CAUTION!
System failure or malfunction!
During earth/ground fault, incorrect data can be
transmitted and lead to failure or malfunctions of
the overall system.
Therefore:
– Immediately correct any detected earth/ground
fault.
