1 General information
This documentation describes the first steps for easy commissioning of ACTIVE
(ACT) frequency inverters.
The ACT series is identified by its label on the case and by the identification
below the top cover.
This document applies to the following device series:
ACT201 / ACT210
ACT401 / ACT410
To simplify, the designations ACT2xx resp. ACT4xx shall be used in
the document.
1.1 Safety Instructions
•
Strictly comply with the safety instructions and information on use in this
documentation.
•
Read this documentation before installing and commissioning the device.
• Non-compliance with the precaution described may result in death, serious
injury or material damage.
• Only qualified personnel trained in installation, commissioning and
operation of the devices may carry out work on the device.
•
The electrical installation must be carried out by qualified electricians
according to the general and regional safety and installation directives.
• Persons who are not familiar with the operation of the device and children
must not have access to the device.
• Comply with the standards BGV A2 (VBG 4), VDE 0100, standards for work
on equipment of heavy current installations such as EN 50178 and with
national accident prevention regulations and directives for erection of
electrical and mechanical equipment.
•
Before commissioning and the start of the operation fix all covers,
assemble all components of the standard equipment and check the
terminals.
• Do not perform any connection work, while the power supply is switched
on.
• Do not touch terminals before capacitors have discharged. Do not touch
the heat sink during operation as there is a risk of skin burn due to high
temperature.
•
Do not remove covers during operation.
