Command Description
ATN
Select Negotiate Handshake. Controls automode enable/
disable.
ATN0
Requires speed of the connection be that specified by the
value of S37 and Bn and no fallback.
ATN1
Starts handshake at the communication standard
specified by S37 and Bn (default).
ATO
Return to on line state mode. Places the modem in
on-line or data mode.
ATO0
Returns modem to a previously established state.
ATO1
Begins an equalizer retrain sequence then returns to on-line
state. A retrain is an adjustment performed when one of
the modems detects signal distortion or line noise.
ATO3-14
Forces the modem to a new rate as defined in S62.
ATQ
Results Code Display Option. Controls whether or not
result codes are displayed to your computer screen.
ATQ0
Enables result codes to be issued to the screen. (default)
ATQ1
Disables result codes to be issued to the screen.
ATSn
Selects an S-Register (n=0-99). Selects an S-Register.

ATSn=m
Writes a value to a specified register
ATSn?
Displays the value of S-Register n.
ATV
Result code format. Determines if results codes
(including call progress and negotiation progress
messages) are displayed as numbers or words.
ATV0
Numeric format. Example: (0 for OK)
ATV1
Verbal format. (default) Example: (OK for OK)
