11. To install and connect the monitor, gooseneck and remote control
When drilling holes, ensure that you do not damage any cables. On cars with a telephone
console ensure that the telephone can be inserted and removed without hindrance.
During the installation process ensure that the connection cable (50) for the gooseneck
(26) is not kinked or crushed.
Do not remove the adhesive foil from the gooseneck installation foot (25) until you actually
install the foot.
Secure the gooseneck installation foot (25) to the gooseneck (26) using the screws M5x16 (37)
loosely.
Hold the gooseneck (25) in position with the assembled monitor (18), align the installation foot
of the gooseneck (25) so that the drilling points (51) are near the retaining plate for the
gooseneck (20) behind the side trim (52).
Drill a hole with a 3.5 mm drill bit through the side trim (52) and the retaining plate for the
gooseneck (20) at the drilling points (51).
Secure the gooseneck (26) with the assembled monitor (18) using the self-tapping screws
4.8 x 38 (35).
