Calibration

If the system has been completely disconnected from the car's electrical system you must

expect a starting phase lasting approx. 15 minutes when you reconnect it.

Position the car so that the GPS aerial has a clear route to the satellite. The navigation

system may then require up to 10 minutes until it receives a signal from the satellite.

Complete a short test drive (approx. 10 minutes) on digitised roads to calibrate the system

automatically.

Change direction several times during the test drive.

- Drive to a cross-roads - The distance indicator on the monitor must react correctly.
- Drive a short distance backwards - The position indicator on the monitor must correctly

display this movement.

Language setting

There are two languages available in the navigation system (German and English).

To set other languages and announcements for the navigation system you will need the software

CD (41).

The ignition must be switched on to load another language.

To prepare to load the languages

1.

Select "Settings" in the main menu

2.

Select ”Language” in the settings menu. The current language will be displayed.

3.

Select ”Different language”. You will be asked to insert the navigation CD into the navigation

computer.

4.

Remove the map CD and insert the software CD into the navigation computer.

5.

Confirm this with ”OK”. The ”Load language” menu will be displayed.

6.

Select the language that you wish to replace.

7.

A list of the available languages will appear.

The current language will not be displayed.

If you have inserted the wrong CD, a warning will appear.

Insert the correct CD and confirm by pressing ENTER.

0

To load new languages from the CD

1.

Select the required language from the list using the cursor key and confirm your selection

by pressing ENTER.

2.

Select ”Load” and confirm by pressing ENTER. The screen will be shut down briefly. The

system will load the selected language. The system will then be initialised (restarted).

3.

Insert the map CD again. Normal function will be resumed.

If you do not wish to load the language you have selected, select ”Quit” in the ”Load language”

menu. The previous language will remain active.
