4.6.6.C Editing Users
To edit a user in the Management Card’s database, take these steps:
1. At the User List, use the keyboard’s arrow keys and/or the search function to
highlight the user you want to edit.
2. Press [Ctrl] along with “E”.
3. Type in a new username up to fourteen displayable characters long for this
user and press [Enter], or press [Enter] without typing in anything else to
keep the existing username.
4. Type in a new password up to eight displayable characters long for this user
and press [Enter] to save the changes and return to the User List.
To turn off the password so that the user doesn’t have to log in, press
[Enter] without typing anything else. You’ll be asked whether you really want
to disable the password. Press “Y” followed by [Enter] to save the edited user
account without a password, or press “N” followed by [Enter] to cancel the
change. In either case, you’ll be returned to the User List; any changes you
make will be reflected there. You can also press [Esc] at any time to return to
the User List without changing anything.
