4.5 Using the Channel List
Select the Channel List by pressing “O” (for “Open a port session”) at the User
Option Menu. It will appear on your monitor, labeled “Terminal Control Panel
Channel List”.

The Channel List will display all devices that (a) are connected to Serial Control
Cards, (b) have been added to the Management Card’s database, and (c) you have
access rights to. Use your keyboard’s up- and down-arrow keys to highlight a
specific device, or use keyboard shortcuts to take you to the top or bottom of the
list. To quickly locate an attached device, start typing in its name at the “Search”
prompt; the Card will scroll down the list to the first device whose name matches
the characters you’ve typed in so far. When the device you want is highlighted,
press [Enter] to select it.
The Channel List can be cross-loaded to other Management Cards in your
system, as described in
Section 4.4.8
. This can be a particularly useful shortcut after
you’ve added, edited, or deleted devices as described in
Sections 4.5.3
through
4.5.5
