It might sometimes be necessary—especially when you’re moving a Management
Card from one ServSwitch Multi system to another—to completely erase either or
both of the two databases that the Card maintains: the security logs and the
channel and user lists. To do so, take these steps:
1. At the Administrator Menu, press “D” to bring up the Delete Database Menu.

Enter selection or X to exit:
2. Press “1” to delete the Card’s security logs, “2” to delete the channel and user
lists, or “X” or [Esc] to abort the deletion and return to the Administrator Menu.
3. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Press “Y” followed by [Enter] to
proceed with it, or “N” followed by [Enter] to cancel it and return to the
Delete Database Menu. If you confirm the deletion, the Card will perform it
and then reset itself. This will take at least 45 seconds; if you’re accessing the
Card through a telnet connection, it might take twice that long until the Card
reinitializes its network presence.
