Because the Management Card can only support one open session at a time, it
might sometimes be necessary to close another user’s session before you can open
your own. If you have administrator access to the Management Card that that user
is connected to, take these steps to close his or her session remotely:
1. At the Channel List, use the keyboard’s arrow keys and/or the search function
to highlight the device whose session you want to close.
2. Press [Ctrl] along with the letter “R”.
3. The device’s current name and address will be displayed, and you will be asked
for the administrator password for the remote user (that is, for the remote
user’s Management Card). Type in this password and press [Enter]. If the
password is correct, the session will be closed and you’ll be returned to the
Channel List. If the password is entered incorrectly, you’ll get two more
chances to get it right; after the third failure, the other Management Card will
refuse further communication attempts for approximately 15 minutes.
