Appendix B: Installing the Video Capture Cards
B.4 Video Capture Card (VCC-HD-4): (4) channel DVI/RGB/HD capture card
Figure B-26. Video Capture Card (VCC-HD-4) illustrated.
B.4.1 Introduction
The VCC-HD-4 has four on-board video capture channels: two HDMI 1.4 channels offer 3840 x 2160 @ 30 frames
per second (fps) and two HDMI 1.3 channels offer 1920 x 1080 @ 60 fps, all operating independently of each
other. This enables four separate video sources to be captured and controlled simultaneously. The VCC-HD-4
card also has embedded audio support across all four channels.
Features
• LiveStream Technology: Low latency video and audio capture minimizes the delay prior to post processing.
• MultiStream: Open and independently control multiple instances of the same capture from a single input
source.
• Powerful hardware scaler: Adjust the incoming video size to your requirements.
• Text and bitmap overlay: Overlay text and images onto the capture buffer.
• Automatic video signal detection: Accurate signal detection for all signal sources.
B.4.2 Hardware Overview
Quad Channel Video Capture
• Audio Capture
• Embedded audio support across all four channels.
• HDMI / DVI / RGB / YPbPr Video Capture
• Maximum resolution up to 4096 x 2048, at 165 MHz Pixel Clock (Digital modes) or 170 Msps in analog modes.
• HDMI audio capture with streaming from each DVI Channel.
• 800 MB/s bandwidth per capture processor, 3.2 GB/s for the card.
Audio Features
HDMI Audio capture and streaming from each DVI Channel supports audio capture to the PCI Express bus at
popular sample rates from 44.1 to 96 ksamples/s at 16 bits/sample. The card supports playback and mixing of
HDMI embedded audio.
