CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
FILTER PACK CLEANING/CHANGE
FREQUENCY
It is necessary to change the filter pack once a
year if the maintenance and cleaning advice has
been followed, although this time may depend
on the environmental situation of the area and
the use of the CRU Biow.
In people with respiratory diseases or special
sensitivity, as well as in public spaces subjected
to a high concentration of volatile organic
compounds, it is advisable to change the filter
pack every time the equipment indicates as
such. In these cases, you should not clean the
filter pack, but replace it directly.
HOW TO KNOW WHEN TO CLEAN/CHANGE
THE FILTER PACK
The CRU Biow has a sensor or filter pack change
indicator, which counts its hours of use and will
be automatically activated when it reaches this
parameter, advising the user to clean or change
the filter pack.
The filter pack change indicator will be shown on
the screen, although the CRU Biow will continue
to work normally.
HOW TO CHANGE THE FILTER PACK
It is a very simple process, so you can dismantle
the filter pack yourself by fully unscrewing lateral
knobs located at the bottom of the unit.
• Take the filter pack out of the casing.
• Remove the black pre-filter fixed with velcro,
wash it with water, let it dry and replace it in
the same position.
• Clean the HEPA filter with your vacuum
eliminating all visible dirt.
• If the HEPA filter is in a good condition,
replace the black pre-filter and reset the
equipment pressing the timer button for
3 seconds. The filter pack indicator will be
deactivated and will notify you again after a
few months.
If, once this process has been carried out, an issue
with the operation of the equipment is detected,
it may be due to the fact that the filter pack is
clogged, obstructing the passage of air due to
accumulated dirt. Check it and replace it, even
if the filter pack change light is not illuminated.
• If you notice that the HEPA filter is in a bad
condition, it is recommended to replace the
filter pack directly.
