Negative Serum Group
The Negative Serum reagent group is utilized to assign negative controls associated with antibodies. This screen
will allow the addition, modification, and deletion of negative control reagents.
When a negative control is ordered for a particular antibody, a duplicate protocol will be assigned to the case
utilizing the negative serum linked to the antibody.
Secondary Group
The Secondary reagent group is used to add, modify, and delete secondary reagents.
Tertiary Group
The Tertiary reagent group is used to add, modify, and delete tertiary reagents.
Chromogen Group
The Chromogen reagent group is utilized to enter new chromogens. This screen will allow the addition,
modification, and deletion of chromogens. The Chromogen reagent group includes elements not found on most
groups’ screens. At the bottom of the Reagent Details box the following information is displayed:
Waste Disposal Properties
Specifies whether the used reagent is considered hazardous.
Note: The designation of Hazardous or Non Hazardous is dependent upon local and national government
regulations.
Reconstituted Stability
A reagent is Unstable if it must be mixed immediately prior to use. Reagents that can be
mixed when convenient and then applied at any point during the run after mixing are considered Stable.
Note: The designation of Reconstituted Stability is specified in the manufacturer’s recommendations on
the product insert.
Type
If chromogen mixing properties are not desired, select
Regular
. If chromogen has multiple components
that require mixing, select
Mix
.
