Connecting (ECT)
Du ring an on going call, you ha ve the op ti on of ac cep ting a furt her call, or of in itia ting a se cond call your self. The first
par ty is put on hold du ring the in qui ry call. You can then con nect both par ties with one anot her and you will be dis -
con nec ted (from that call).
In the Pro fes sio nal Con fi gu ra tor you can de fi ne for each sub scri ber se pa ra te ly whet her an ex ter nal par ty is to be put
on hold in the PABX or in the exchange.
Trans fer wit hin the PABX
The fea tu re »Hold in the PABX« must be con fi gu red.
The two ex ter nal cal lers will be con nec ted via the PABX. Your PABX is not avai la ble for ot her ex ter nal calls whi le an
ex ter nal, trans fer red call is in progress.
Trans fer in the ex chan ge
The fea tu re »Hold in the ex chan ge« must be con fi gu red.
The two ex ter nal cal lers will be con nec ted in the ex chan ge. Your PABX re mains ful ly avai la ble (for two con nec tions)
whi le the trans fer red call is in progress.
You can on ly uti li ze this functi on if the fea tu re »ECT« has been ac ti vat ed for your ISDN con nec ti on. Ask your net -
work ser vi ce pro vi der for details.

Broker`s call
The broker’s call fea tu re al lows you to switch back and forth bet ween in ter nal or ex ter nal cal lers. The par ty that is on
hold will he ar the mu sic on hold (when pro gram med). With ana log te le pho nes you can switch bet ween two cal lers.
You can ter mi na te each spe ci fic call. Du ring sys tem con fi gu ra ti on you can de fi ne whet her the cal lers are to be put on
hold in your PABX or in the exchange.

You will hear the in ter nal dial tone.

Dial the num ber of the par ty you wish to call.
You hear the rin ging tone in the hand set.
The par ty will be cal led.
The par ty being cal led lifts up the hand set of his/her phone.

The first call is put on hold.
R2 Dial this code to re turn to your first cal ler; the se cond par ty is put on hold. You can then use this code to
switch back and forth bet ween the two cal lers.
