The com pa ny pro vi des a Ser ver PC which you can use to lo ad new firm wa re in the sys tem te le pho ne elmeg CS410and
elmeg CS410-U . In this ca se the firm wa re is loa ded over the ISDN con nec ti on and ta kes ap prox. 12 mi nu tes de pen -
ding on the si ze of the firm wa re fi le. No te that con nec ti on fees may ap ply when downloa ding the firm wa re over an
external ISDN connection.
For the elmeg IP-S400 you can downlo ad the firm wa re using the Pro fes sio nal Con fi gu ra tor (WIN-Tools on the
PABX) un der »Sys tem te le pho ne«, »In di rect soft wa re downlo ad«. Whilst in the con fi gu ra tor you can spe ci fy the in -
ter net ad dress whe re the firm wa re can be found. No ope ra tions must be car ried out on the system telephone.

Du ring data trans mis si on, you must not press any keys and plug or un plug any con nec tors un less re ques ted to
do so. Should the re be an in ter rup ti on whilst downloa ding, res tart the downlo ad pro gram and pro ceed as
described below.

Af ter the new firm wa re is loa ded the te le pho ne au to ma ti cal ly car ries out a RE SET and is then avai la ble for use
again.

In some ca ses, all data in the te le pho ne is se lec ted when car ry ing out a firm wa re downlo ad. If this is the case
then you will re cei ve in for ma ti on in the te le pho ne dis play be fo re downloa ding com men ces. If you do not have
any ba ckup fi les for the te le pho ne con fi gu ra ti on set tings, plea se en su re you only be gin the downlo ad once you
have ba cked up this data (via the PC configurator).
