6 - Motor

Fitting the crankshaft and the countershaft

– Fasten the right-hand crankcase half to the assembly stand.
– Carefully oil the crankshaft roller bearing and grease the oil

seal.

– Carefully insert the crankshaft into the bearing.

– Turn the crankshaft until mark

is at the front and then insert

the countershaft into its bearing. Ensure that crankshaft mark

is between the two countershaft marks

Fitting the gearbox and the gearshift mechanism

– Turn the engine onto one side.
– Simultaneously insert driving shaft

and driven shaft

into

their respective bearings.

– Attach bushes

to the gearchange forks with a little grease.

– Attach the four springs

to the fork guide rods with a little

grease.
