SERVO ATTACHMENT
T h e f o r w a r d s i d e o f t h e t r a n s m i s s i o n
incorporates mounting attachments which
support the three hydraulic servo actuators
of the main rotor flight control system. This
isolates the cyclic and collective servos
from any inputs caused by the normal range
of pylon motion.
Transmission oil cooling takes place in both
of the engine oil coolers heat exchange
cores. This insures than even with only one
engine operating, the transmission oil will
b e c o o l e d . T h e o i l l i n e s f r o m t h e
transmission to the coolers pass along the
c e n t r a l f i r e w a l l t u n n e l o f t h e e n g i n e
compartment.
OIL COOLER
The rotor brake shortens the time required
to stop the rotor after shut down. A disc
brake assembly is mounted on the tail rotor
output quill, and consists of a rotor brake
disc attached to the tail rotor drive adapter,
and a dual caliper brake attached to the
transmission case.
