[P]5 MACKEREL AND SQUID FISHING PROGRAM
This program is used for trolling mackerel and is also used
for squid fishing.
Jig length
is not used in this program
because line is hauled up to
Zeropoint
each time motor
starts. Every time lines heads down the
Fishing depth
is
reduced, if desired, to a minimum Fishing depth.
Two new features are used...
•
Deep reduction[P]5[PP]
is the reduction of the
Fishing
depth
for each time the line has been hauled up to
Zeropoint
. This attract the fish against shallower water,
which allows for faster catch retrieval.
•
Minimum depth.
Reducing the
Fishing depth
to the
Zeropoint
would not work well.
Minimum depth
is the
shallowest
Fishing depth
that will be used.

Example of wheel behavior with following settings…
•
Fishing depth
is 50 meters.
•
Depth reduction
is 5 meters.
•
Minimum depth
is 30 meters
When

uto is pressed.
• The machine releases to 50 meters. Brakes up and then pulls up the entire line to Zeropoint.
• Next release will be to 50-5 = 45 meter. Brakes up and then retracts the entire line again.
• Ex will continue reduce the
Fishing depth
until…
• Reduction of
Fishing depth
gets above 30 meter. Reduction is stopped and 30 meter will be set as
Fishing depth
for all further fishing, until next press on
[A]
uto button.

Catch depth
is not shown, but
Catch registration

The diagram shows theoretically how the sinker is drawing
on an echo sounder image, with the depth of the vertical
axis and the time on the horizontal.
