The BELFOX Ultra VA / 800 / 800i actuator requires a concrete foundation or a
steel construction of at least 400 x 200 mm, each at a frost-free depth (in Ger-
many = min. 80 cm deep).
Make the foundations sufficiently large so that the material does not break out
when drilling the mounting holes. For the required dimensions, refer to the
manufacturer's dimensional specifications .
The foundation or console should be slightly higher than the surrounding level.
To avoid ice surfaces in winter, water should be able to run away from the run-
ning track with a gradient.

Height upper edge of drive pinion : 125 – 280 mm
Height of the magnetic limit switches : 135 – 290 mm
Lay the power supply line (230 V) through an empty pipe in the foundation. Lay
the connection lines (24 V) for accessories through another empty conduit,
which is separated from the mains supply line.

Place the sliding gate operator on the intended surface and unlock the operator
at the unlocking lever.
The Ultra VA / 500i / 800 / 800i must be mounted so that the teeth of the rack
are fully meshed with the teeth of the output pinion. Poor meshing will shorten
the service life and may cause the teeth to skip.
The motor and gear unit is height adjustable by 155 mm. To do this, loosen the
three fastening screws on each side of the support bracket, move the gear unit
with the motor to the appropriate position and fasten it again. Align the Ultra
VA / 500i / 800 / 800i exactly parallel to the door and screw the drive to the
foundation. The operator can still be adjusted through the oblong holes in the
base plate.

There is a risk of life-threatening / fatal electric shock on contact with the
mains voltage.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION FOR HAZARD AVOIDANCE
Electrical connections may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
When laying the power line, the applicable regulations must be observed
and complied with (IEC 364-4-41).
Before carrying out any work, disconnect the system from the power
supply. Secure the system against unauthorized restarting of the system.
Make sure that the on-site electrical installation complies with the
respective protection regulations.
To avoid hazards, a damaged power supply line must be replaced by a
qualified electrician with an undamaged power supply line.
Use protective equipment during installation.
The power supply (usually 230 V) must correspond to the type plate.
