The HOT KEYS Tab
This tab provides access to the Hot Key Manager and displays the default Hot Keys loaded into each
extender, plus any additional Hot Keys as defined by the administrator. Hot Keys are a combination or
sequence of keys that signal a specific function, such as Display the OSD or Switch the
keyboard/mouse.
Note:
All Hot Keys work is done through the HID (Human Interface Device) port on the
Thinklogical KVM Receiver. Most Thinklogical KVM Receivers are equipped with HID. Hot
Keys will not work with an extender
’s USB 2.0 port.
Once Hot Keys are configured, they will not likely have to be configured again. See Appendix E, pg. 32
to enable Hot Keys and for Hot Keys functions and syntax.
The
OSD Idle Time Out
is also configured on this page. OSDs are always available to other users. If
a user logs in at an OSD to access additional sources, any time the OSD is summoned to that station,
the user remains logged in and will retain access to the additional sources normally available to that
user. If the user hits the LOGOUT button or does not perform a new action at that station before the
Idle Time Out expires, the user will be logged out and the OSD will no longer show the user's additional
sources the next time the OSD is summoned to that station.
Users can set the time-out level here. (15 min. in this example.)
The RESTART Tab
This is a convenient way to restart the SMP2
– D/R
server after certain conditions, such as when
making edits or changes to the system that may
require the system to restart.
The EXPORT Tab
Left-clicking in the
EXPORT
tab will save your
current configuration as a ‘stations.csv’ file. This
file will be located in the directory:
/home/user/Downloads
.
