Battery quality declaration
The capacity of the rechargeable battery in
your Becker® TRAFFIC STAR
NAVIGATION decreases with every
charging/discharging cycle. Improper
storage at excessively high or low temper-
atures may also cause a gradual deteriora-
tion of capacity. Consequently, the oper-
ating time may be substantially reduced
even in the case of a fully charged battery.
The rechargeable battery is designed such
that it should certainly still be possible for
it to be charged and discharged after
6 months of operation of your unit.
Commissioning
Once the Becker® TRAFFIC STAR
NAVIGATION has been unpacked and
checked to ensure it is free of damage, the
unit can be started up.
The battery is already deployed.
Insert the Becker® TRAFFIC STAR
NAVIGATION in the vehicle’s glove
compartment as described under “Unit
holder” on page 10.
Power supply
Your Becker® TRAFFIC STAR
NAVIGATION has an integrated re-
chargeable battery. The battery is charged
as soon as the Becker® TRAFFIC STAR
NAVIGATION is placed in the holder
and the vehicle ignition is switched on.
Note:
Note that if the battery is completely dis-
charged, it may take up to a minute be-
fore the Becker® TRAFFIC STAR
NAVIGATION can be activated again.
