A Telplex pair may be used in a "point-to-point" application where up to
two, four, or eight separate lines of data may be multiplexed and
demultiplexed simultaneously between two sites as shown in
Figure 1 .
The Telplex TX104 and
TX108 multiplex four or
eight individual
communications lines
into a single composite
channel. These
statistical multiplexers
can be used with
existing modems, short
haul modems, or hard-
wired back-to-back to
suit your specific
requirements

In this example, Port 1 of Unit 1 communicates with Port 1 of Unit 2, Port
2 of Unit 1 communicates with Port 2 of Unit 2 and so on.
NOTE: Standard units will support point-to-point applications only.
A multi-drop application involving multiple composite ports will connect
several units to a TX60 or TX28 in a "star" configuration. See
Figure 2
on the following page.
