The RA 6300 implementation of ARA provides three areas of security:

ARA Security

The basic ARA security features are:

•

Username and password authentication

The RA 6300 authenticates the client using Apple’s DES
encryption algorithm. To define a user name and password for a
registered (as opposed to guest) user, see

Guest access

The RA 6300 allows anonymous access to the network.
Restrictions can be applied to guests by setting up an ACP guest
profile with limitations. For more details, see
