Assembly of Kelly Equipment

7.6.1.1 Mounting the Rope Swivel

CAUTION

Serious accident hazard!

At all times, the Kelly bar must be suspended by a rope swivel.

Use only the genuine rope swivel of BAUER make.

The swivel must be designed for the max. lifting force of the winch
used.



Mount the swivel as shown in the figure below.

CAUTION

Risk of damaging components!

Mount the swivel in the right way.
The lube nipple must be up.



After mounting, grease the swivel and test it rotates freely.
