5. Check that outer rings (1) in housing are not

twisted and that the housing is not damaged.

6. Check that lens sliding surface (1), is free of

scoring and not worn.

7. Reassemble rotary group and shaft seal and back-

up washer, by heating the housing to
approximately 80 degrees Celsius, and inserting
rotary group.

8. Draw rotary group against retaining ring.
