7.2.8 REPLACEMENT OF TRACKS
The tracks are consumable parts and their life depends on the conditions of the environ-
ment in which the machine operated.
To replace them, the tensioning block must be removed (see next paragraph), the ma-
chine must be raised and with 4 supports placed under the deck to keep it raised. To
inhibit the tensioner block, take a 22 mm socket wrench and loosen the lock nut screwed
to the pin. Once loosened, unscrew the pin with a 12mm Allen key. To facilitate the exit
of the track it is recommended to completely unscrew the pin inside the track. Once the
track tension is released, remove the wheel and remove the track. (See Fig. 31)
To reassemble the track, repeat the above steps in reverse.
Note: the track tension must be 3,06 Kgm. (30 Nm) which can be calculated with the aid
of a torque wrench. Once the track has been tensioned, secure the locknut to prevent
the pin and, consequently, the track from coming out.
