MODEL 2290

LOWER OVER THE TOP DISCHARGE FOR TRANSPORT

1.  If chipper drum is running, Lower engine RPM to an idle and then disengage the clutch.
2.  Once the chipper drum has stopped , release the discharge lock pin, see Figure 1.
3.  Activate the discharge up/down cylinder and lower the discharge, see Figure 2.
4.  Lower discharge into transport cradle, see  Figure 3.
5.  With the discharge down in the transport cradle, the machine is ready to transport, see Figure 4.
6.  Now with the chipper drum stopped and the discharge down in transport position you can follow the rest 

of the machine shut down procedures and transportation procedures.

7.  Repeat the steps in a reverse order to raise the discharge.

  If the discharge or hood need to be removed, always use some sort of mechanical device like an overhead 

hoist, loader, lift truck, etc. that is rated for lifting that component. Follow all OSHA instructions for lifting.
