3.1.1
Types of operation
The device features two types of operation:
Countdown operation and continuous
operation
In
countdown operation,
the remaining time and the pulsation level are adjustable. After
activating the START/STOP key, the button on the ultrasonic transducer, or the foot switch, the set
time starts counting backwards in one-second intervals until it reaches zero – then the ultrasonic
generator turns off.
The maximum time that can be set is 99 min and 59 sec (the setting 00:00 is not possible and is
also not displayed).
In
continuous operation
, the ultrasound emission can be selected as continuous or pulsed
(see table on page 6, below). After activating the START/STOP key, the button on the ultrasonic
transducer, or the foot switch, the time starts counting forward in one-second intervals until it
reaches 99 min and 59 sec, and continues running by starting again at zero.
The detailed operating steps can be found in the tables "Working in continuous operation" and
"Working in countdown operation" 4.2.
3.1.2 Power
-
Amplitude setting
The amplitude can be set between 10 % and 100 %, in 1% intervals. Before pressing the Start
key, turn the "Power" regulator all the way to the left. After the start of operation, set the desired
value with the control dial. The amplitude will be continuously measured and displayed. Depending
on the ultrasound-dependent change in the liquid medium, the current display may
fl
uctuate by up
to 5 digits at higher outputs during operation.
3.1.3 Advantages of the generator
• Environmentally friendly due to very low stand-by energy consumption.
• Start - Stop functions also available via remote control through the foot switch as well as
through a button on the ultrasonic transducer.
• Large, bright, easily readable display for time, pulse and amplitude.
• Integrated digital timer for specifi cation / display of the sonication times.
• A functional check for the timer can be called up by pressing the "+" and " " keys simultaneously
(see chapter 6.2).
• Fast and easy setting of the time and pulsation level through fast scrolling.
• The most-recently entered settings are also saved in the event of power failures.
• Automatic test with error display on whether the ultrasonic transducer is connected to the
generator (see chapter 6.2).
• Works with the amplitude-constancy AMPLICHRON
®
control system.
• Easy operation with a membrane keypad as well as a control dial and toggle switch.
• Integrated digital timer for setting and reading out the sonication times.
• Start - Stop - functions also possible with remote control via foot switch.
• “POWER” ⇒ infi nitely variable amplitude setting.
• “CYCLE” ⇒ adjustable pulsing mode; it is used to divide pulses of 1 sec into work steps and
idle steps. The length of the working pulse can be set in 10 steps.
