Indicator Lights
Green
Indicator Light
ON (
illuminated) = vending machine
is ready
to accept money
and vend
OFF
(not illuminated) = vending machine
is not ready
to
accept money and vend .
When the Green Light is illuminated, the PLC is signaling
the coin mechanism, bill changer and the optional credit
card option to accept funds. When the Green Light is not
illuminated, the PLC is signaling the vending system not to
accept funds because the vending machine has sold out of ice
or because of a malfunction.
Red
Indicator Light
ON (
illuminated) = lower area of ice-bin
does not
contain ice
OFF
(not illuminated) = lower part of the ice-bin contains ice
and is ready to dispense
The red light is powered by the lower ice-bin photo-cells. When
the photo-cell is blocked by ice the red light is off. When the
photo-cell is not blocked by ice the red light is on.
Blue
Indicator Light
ON (
illuminated) = middle or upper area of the ice-bin
does
not
contain ice
OFF
(not illuminated) = middle or upper area of the ice-bin
contains ice
The blue light is powered by the middle or upper ice-bin photo
cells. When the photo cell is blocked by ice the blue light is off.
When the photo cell is not blocked by ice the blue light is on.
Yellow
Indicator Light
ON (
illuminated) = ice maker compressor is on
OFF
(not illuminated) = ice maker compressor is off
The yellow light is powered by the coil in the Ice Maker. When
the Ice maker engages the coil the compressor is powered on.
Light Combinations
Green-OFF Red- OFF
Blue-OFF Yellow-OFF

red light bulb to check if it is
burnt out.
• When machine is vending ice green light will be
off
Green-ON Red-ON Blue-OFF Yellow
OFF
The lower photo cell is signaling that ice is not
present , yet the Blue Indicator light shows the Bin is
full. *Use an electrician or a qualified person for this
trouble-shooting step.
• Check the beater bar circuit to inspect that the
breaker has not tripped. See the power box-
wiring diagram for more details.
Check the middle or upper photo cell for power in
the Vending / PLC Box (PS 2 on the terminal Block
above the PLC). If you have power remove the left
side panel and block the Photo cell and listen for a
clicking sound. If you here a clicking sound, look at
the PLC screen to see if one of the input numbers are
coming on and off. If the input numbers are coming
