Stopping the engine

Warning!

n

Turn off the battery master

switch only 30 seconds after tur-
ning off the ignition to allow data
processing by ECM (Engine Con-
trol Module) and to allow air to blow
through the AdBlue injection sys-
tem into the exhaust system (noi-
se from the area of AdBlue tank
may be heard). If the instruction as
above is not followed a fault may be
reported by warning lamps or the
SCR system and/or damage of the
SCR system may be caused due to
insufficient removal of AdBlue re-
sidues (possible crystallization

or

freezing) and thus causing blocka-
ge of it.

Turn the ignition key from position

"ON"

to position

"ACC"

to stop the

engine.

Warning!

Do not let the engine run at idle  or
at speed to 1,000 rpm without load
for more than 10 minutes. When
the engine is running for a long
time in these regimes, the tempe-
rature  of  the  combustion  space
will drop so that the fuel cannot be
burned completely. This may re-
sult in creation  of  carbon  in the
surrounding of holes of injection
nozzles and piston rings what may
lead to damage the engine. In ad-
dition, low temperatures will cau-
se that all oil penetrating from valve
gaskets will not burn in exhaust
channels. The oil not burned can
cause damage to turbocharger.

ning off the battery circuit breaker -
it may result in damage to wiring
cables and alternator.

The ignition key may be remo-

ved from the ignition switch only
after full stopping of the vehicle.
