Configuring Traps
A trap is an SNMP message sent by the agent to its managers. Trap
messages may appear in the affected port configuration windows of the
management stations listed in the Managers Table. You can set the types
of traps that the agent forwards to the management station which you are
configuring.
To configure traps:
1. Select
Configuration >
Traps
. The Traps Configuration dialog box
opens.

2. Check the check boxes for the types of traps that you want the
agent to forward to the management station that you are
configuring.
3. Click
Apply
.

Viewing Traps
Traps that are sent by the agent to its managers may be viewed in two
places:

The Port Configuration dialog box
•
The Event Log
