District heating tank FSN and FSN-E
11. Installation and Safety Information
F
a)
Important Installation Information! Do not bend the safety component sus-
pension hooks due to the possibility of breakage. A failure to take notice
of this warning could result in personal injury due to a falling device!
b) Every device is delivered with a wall rail for the insertion of the upper securing
hook, which is attached to the wall with two screws and supports the weight of
the device. Two additional screw fittings (as per the dimensions sketch with the
device dimensions) must be provided for affixing the lower tab of the device to
the wall; this only serves to secure the device against the wall and to prevent
lateral movement. Water heaters of a suspended construction type must not be
installed horizontally.
c) The securing hooks and therefore the suspension dimension A can be reposi-
tioned by moving the storage tank rear wall screws into other holes of the
hook
in 50 mm spac-
ings.
Caution
: Only fixing hooks supplied by AE AG may be used!
d) During the installation due attention must be paid to device dimension sketches and any informa-
tion signs that may have been supplied together with the device.
e)
Caution
: The weight of the water heater including the weight of the water content (the nominal
capacity) must be taken into consideration for the selection of an installation point and/or the
preparation a device mounting surface sufficient to meet the technical loading and installation
strength requirements.
Special Suspension: see narrow wall and/or ceiling mounting.
f)
If a water heater is fitted with covers (cladding) in narrow small spaces or in suspended ceilings and the like,
it is crucial to ensure that the connection side of the device (water connections, electrical connection room
and/or boiler room) remains freely accessible and that heat accumulation is not generated. There
must be a free space of 500 mm for the dismantling of the heating flange. A space of at least 50
mm must be left above the device so that it can be hooked into the wall rails.
g) In terms of the choice and/or sequence of the installation material used on the system side (be
careful in the case of mixed installation) due consideration must be given to potential electro-
chemical processes (contact corrosion e.g. copper-steel) in accordance with good engineering
practice. We recommend the installation of insulating screw fixings.
h) If there is particularly aggressive water, which demands a special solution on the installation side,
the potential necessity for special constructed versions of the storage tank should be investigated
(please direct any related questions to our agents or directly to our company).
i) The device is equipped with a safety temperature limiting device, which prevents any further heat-
ing of the devices beyond a water temperature of 110 °C.
(EN 60335 -2-21; ÖVE-EW41 , Part 2 (500) /1971). Therefore the choice of connection com-
ponents (connection pipes, circulation, safety valve combinations etc.) should be made in such
a way that the connection components could withstand temperatures of 110 °C in case of any
potential malfunction of the temperature regulator and that possible consequential damages
are avoided.
j) The assembly and installation may only be carried out by authorised tradesmen.
k) There is a risk of scalding under certain operating conditions.
