9.
Setting the limit switching
9.1
Setting end position CLOSED
.
Turn handwheel clockwise until valve is CLOSED.
.
Upon reaching the final position, turn back the handwheel by the amount
equal to the overrun. During test run check overrun and, if necessary,
correct setting of the limit switching.
.
Push the stud (figure J-1) inwards using a screwdriver and turn it. The stud
remains in this position.
.
Slowly turn setting spindle for end position CLOSED
(figure J-1)
using a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow while a ratchet is felt and
heard, thereby observe the cam CLOSED. When the cam snaps and trips
the switch (LSC), stop turning.
When overriding the tripping point inadvertently (ratchet is heard after the
cam has snapped), continue turning the setting spindle in the same direc-
tion and repeat setting process.
.
Turn stud until it snaps back into its original position by spring action.
9.2
Setting end position OPEN
.
Turn handwheel counterclockwise until valve is open, then turn back by
approximately ½ a turn.
.
Push the stud (figure J-1) inwards using a screwdriver and turn it. The stud
remains in this position.
.
Slowly turn setting spindle for end position OPEN
(figure J-1) using a
screwdriver in the direction of the arrow while a ratchet is felt and heard,
thereby observe the cam OPEN. When the cam snaps and trips the switch
(LSO), stop turning.
If you override the tripping point inadvertently (ratchet is heard after the
pointer has snapped), continue turning the setting spindle in the same
direction and repeat setting process.
.
Turn stud until it snaps back into its original position by spring action.
Limit switching is only operating if the stud is in its original
position.
