The phone book
40 numbers including a name can be stored in the phone book. The maximum length for
a number is 20 characters.
5.1
Entering numbers in the phone book
1.
Press the
button. The menu will now be shown in the display.
2.
Select
Ed. Phonebook
in the menu using the
button and confirm with the
button.
3.
Confirm again with the
button to call up
Add Entry
in the menu.
4.
Now enter the associated name (max. 8 letters) using the number pad. For how to
enter names, see later on this page.
5.
Confirm the name with the
button. The display will show the message
Number
.
6.
Enter the required telephone number using the number pad. Note that, if you are
using your telephone on a private exchange, it may be necessary to enter the outside
line code to be saved with your number.
7.
Confirm again with the
button. The display will briefly show the message
Stored
and again the message
Add Entry
.
8.
If you want to enter more numbers proceed as under Item 3. Exit the entry mode by
holding the
/
button pressed.
Note on the phone book:
If the memory capacity of 40 numbers has been reached, the
next time you try to store a number the display will show the message
Memory full
. In
order to recreate more space, other numbers must be deleted first.
How to enter names:
The number keys are also printed with letters for entering
names. By repeatedly pressing the appropriate button, upper case letters as well as
numbers and special characters can be entered. Which numbers and special characters
are stored under each button will be shown in the display when the appropriate button is
pressed.
Example: You want to enter the name "Peter".
Press: 1 x button 7, 2 x button 3, 1 x button 8, 2 x button 3, 3 x button 7
To enter a space, press the
1
button once. To enter the same letter twice, press the
appropriate letter and then wait until the cursor automatically jumps to the next position.
Incorrect entries can be deleted with the
/
button. To change a particular letter,
you can move the cursor to the required position using the
and
buttons in order
to enter a new letter.
